Red Flags Rule
In Nov. 2007, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) issued a set of regulations, known as the “Red Flags Rule,” requiring that certain entities develop and implement written identity theft prevention and detection programs to protect consumers from identity theft.
Johnson County Health Department has developed and implemented their policy to address the Red Flags Rule and is willing to share this policy with their peers.

the Operational Definition of a Functional Local Health Department Metrics: LHD Capacity Self-Assessment Tool and suggested sample documents and guidance documents to be
used as a tool by LHDs to meet requirements.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has established a phone bank for concerned Kansans to call with questions about H1N1. The toll-free number is 1-877-427-7317. Operators will be available to answer questions from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Persons calling will be directed to press “1” on their touch-tone phone to be directed to an operator who will answer questions regarding H1N1.
