In early 2012, the Kansas Health Foundation funded a generous grant to the Kansas Health Institute (KHI)to provide technical assistance to local health departments on the topics of CHA, CHIP, strategic planning, and seeking public health accreditation. KHI, in conjunction with the Kansas Public Health Systems Group, developed a multi-year plan of activities for providing the technical assistance.
In conjunction with the CHIP TA sessions and the planned Strategic Planning TA that will be provided later this fall, a limited number of mini-grants will be available to local health departments participating in this work. Please note, that participation in the TA sessions is a requirement for eligibility for the mini-grants. RFP – Accreditation Readiness Mini Grants Application Although registration for the CHIP TA has a deadline of January 10, please note that applications for the mini-grants will be accepted beginning on March 1.
Join the Kansas Association of Local Health Departments, Kansas Department of Health and Environment, and Kansas Health Institute for two face-to-face peer learning sessions for CHIP work. These sessions are offered at no cost to you and will be from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
