Description

The Unified Government Public Health Department is seeking a nurse practitioner to work 20+ hours a week in its Maternal/Child Health Division. Primary area will be Family Planning. Regular clinic hours Monday – Friday includes a Thursday evening clinic. Must be graduate of accredited school of professional nursing and be licensed as a registered nurse in Kansas. Must possess or be eligible for Kansas certification as an ARNP or CNM. Must reside in Wyandotte County or be willing to relocate within 24 months. Excellent benefits. Salary range: $24.10 - 31.60/hour. EOE

Job Requirements

Experience

Duties include performing physical assessments, including pelvic and breast exams. Will provide routine gynecological care management. Will prescribe medications and order/interpret diagnostic tests within scope of clinic setting. Will assist with writing protocols and procedures. Provides client education on health issues, including all pregnancy options.

Skills

Strong time management, organizational and communication skills are essential. Experience in OB/GYN helpful. Must be able to work with a diverse client population; work in a team setting; exercise judgment and refer clients as needed. Bilingual Spanish/English desirable.
